Saturdays are usually reserved for wandering around Nashville with The Husband. On a particularly gorgeous Saturday a couple of weeks ago, I was on a quest to find a copy of a new Tennessee magazine, Home & Hill (more on that soon) and the only places in town that carry it are Hester & Cook in Berry Hill and Hey Rooster General Store in East Nashville.
Hey Rooster is in an adorable little building on Gallatin Road, and is run by the lovely Courtney Webb, a Nashville native who recently moved home from a stint in New York, bringing with her an appreciation of small-batch, hand-made goods like prints, hand linens, jams, sauces and snacks. Be sure to also check out the jewelry case - I've got my eye on some of the fabric-wrapped cuffs that Courtney made, and some of the pretty, delicate rings.
If you do stop in there, grab yourself the first issue of Home & Hill Magazine and learn more about all the proverbial gems them thar hills of Tennessee hold.
