It's all fun and games when we joke that we're "hangry" when our blood sugar's low. But did you know that one in six Tennesseans don't have the luxury of being hangry, and that hunger is their reality?
Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee works hard everyday to help people who are going hungry right here in Tennessee through wonderful programs like their Emergency Food Box, Mobile Pantry, and their annual event Generous Helpings.
On Thursday May 15th, over 30 of Nashville's best restaurants will be at the Nashville Farmers' Market showcasing their delicious appetizers, entrees and desserts, as well as fine wines and craft beers just for attendees to the event. They're adding more and more restaurants till the event date so keep checking here to see who will be there.
Want a more intimate dinner experience? Then you'll love their Patron's Party on May 6th. Second Harvest has partnered with Josh Habiger of Pinewood Social to host this multi-course dinner with wine pairings. The dinner will be prepared by a slew of the city's toppest of the top-notch chefs including my personal favorites, Matt Bolus (404 Kitchen), Lisa Donovan (Husk & Buttermilk Road), Deb Paquette (Etch) and more. Seriously, the ticket price is very very very worth it! A portion of your ticket is also tax deductible* in case you were wondering so definitely consider attending.
